Cookie notice
Effective date: TO BE SUPPLIED — date published
The short version
This website sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser — no local storage, no session storage, no offline databases, no service worker. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no social-media widget. Your biscuits are your own business.
What the site does load
Every font, image and video on this site is served from weforge.africa itself. Your browser makes no request to any other company when you read a page here, so no third party can set a cookie through it.
Your browser does keep ordinary copies of files it has already downloaded — its HTTP cache — so the next page loads faster. That is your browser's own housekeeping, not a cookie: it holds no identifier, forge cannot read it, and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time. If you add the site to your home screen, your device may keep a copy of the site's icon and name in the same way.
Our hosting
The site's own code sets no cookies. The infrastructure that serves it — our hosting provider, named in the privacy notice — sits outside that code. If that infrastructure ever sets a cookie, it will be one that is strictly necessary to deliver the site securely, such as for load balancing or protection against attack, and we will name it on this page.
What our servers record when you visit, and how we handle any personal information, is set out in our privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites — the photographers whose work we use, the designers of our typefaces, and WhatsApp on our contact page. Once you follow a link, you are on their site and under their cookie policy, not ours. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they set.
If this changes
If forge ever introduces cookies, analytics or similar technology, we will update this notice before or when we do, and change the effective date above. Any cookie that is not strictly necessary would only be used on a lawful basis under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), which may include your consent.
